Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Before the ball by Edouard Pingret. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,433.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edouard Pingret achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indio Con Traje De Gala En Puesto De Comida in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 302,500.00 (€ 232,049.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Before the ball von Edouard Pingret zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.433,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edouard Pingret erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Indio Con Traje De Gala En Puesto De Comida im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 302.500,00 (€ 232.049,71).
