In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures, which included the work Tête Blonde by Édouard Cabane. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,400.00 (€ 16,546.46), 63% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Tête Blonde the most expensive artwork by Édouard Cabane that we have observed at auctions so far.
