In the La Photographie IV: The Collection of Marie-Thérèse and André Jammes auction, the work Paris, La Tour Saint-Jacques, 1852-53 sold for EUR 7,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Édouard Baldus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portal, Amiens Cathedral in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 61,000.00 (€ 39,182.94).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Édouard Baldus erzielte im November 2008 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion La Photographie IV: The Collection of Marie-Thérèse and André Jammes wurde die Arbeit Paris, La Tour Saint-Jacques, 1852-53 für EUR 7.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Édouard Baldus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portal, Amiens Cathedral im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 61.000,00 (€ 39.182,94).
