Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2010 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work On the Trent by Edmund John Niemann. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,008.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edmund John Niemann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British View Of Paris in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 19,119.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the Trent von Edmund John Niemann zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.008,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edmund John Niemann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British View Of Paris im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 19.119,62).
