Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2004 Christies in London held the auction PIPEWELL HALL, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE AND BOSTOCK HOUSE, CHESHIRE, which included the work Sleeping Beauties by Edmund Caldwell. The price achieved of GBP 501.90 (€ 450.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edmund Caldwell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The eager pupil in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,042.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion PIPEWELL HALL, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE AND BOSTOCK HOUSE, CHESHIRE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sleeping Beauties von Edmund Caldwell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 501,90 (€ 450,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edmund Caldwell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The eager pupil im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.042,21).
