Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2005 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Edmond Xavier Kapp for GBP 60.00 (€ 87.01). This price was achieved in the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edmond Xavier Kapp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chopin in March 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,140.00 (€ 1,677.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2005 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Edmond Xavier Kapp für GBP 60,00 (€ 87,01) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edmond Xavier Kapp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chopin im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.140,00 (€ 1.677,95).
