This artwork by Edmond van Dooren achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2008. In the European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting auction, the work Belgian Valhalla sold for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 25,692.85) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Edmond van Dooren; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Stadtvision (cubo-futurist composition) sold at auction in June 2008 with the realized price of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 47,085.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edmond van Dooren erzielte im November 2008 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting wurde die Arbeit Belgian Valhalla für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 25.692,85) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Edmond van Dooren; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Stadtvision (cubo-futurist composition) im Juni 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 47.085,25).
