Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work I Want to Be by Edgar Plans. The price achieved of HKD 762,000.00 (€ 92,149.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 600,000.00 – 900,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edgar Plans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Juanín in April this year with an auction result of HKD 840,000.00 (€ 857,804.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit I Want to Be von Edgar Plans zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 762.000,00 (€ 92.149,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 600.000,00 – 900.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edgar Plans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Juanín im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 840.000,00 (€ 857.804,35).
