This artwork by Edgar Plans achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July last year. In the Contemporary Curated: Hong Kong auction, the work A Hero in You sold for HKD 1,386,000.00 (€ 172,944.32) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 700,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edgar Plans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Juanín in April this year with an auction result of HKD 840,000.00 (€ 857,804.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edgar Plans erzielte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated: Hong Kong wurde die Arbeit A Hero in You für HKD 1.386.000,00 (€ 172.944,32) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 700.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edgar Plans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Juanín im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 840.000,00 (€ 857.804,35).
