Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art Online, which included the work Pigeons And Chicks With Mother Hen by Edgar Hunt. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,174.36), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Hunt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A donkey, two goats, chickens and chicks in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 47,000.00 (€ 76,819.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pigeons And Chicks With Mother Hen von Edgar Hunt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.174,36) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edgar Hunt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A donkey, two goats, chickens and chicks im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.000,00 (€ 76.819,65).
