Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Christies in New York held the auction 10th Shanghai Auction Anniversary: 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale, which included the work Untitled (Flower pot with blue background) by Eddie Martinez. The price achieved of CNY 2,520,000.00 (€ 326,190.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CNY 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eddie Martinez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work High Flying Bird in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 15,725,000.00 (€ 1,823,808.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion 10th Shanghai Auction Anniversary: 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Flower pot with blue background) von Eddie Martinez zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CNY 2.520.000,00 (€ 326.190,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CNY 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eddie Martinez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit High Flying Bird im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 15.725.000,00 (€ 1.823.808,88).
