The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,255.00 (€ 9,509.44), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eddie Martinez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work High Flying Bird in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 15,725,000.00 (€ 1,823,808.88).

Die Arbeit Love is a Battlefield #4 von Eddie Martinez wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.255,00 (€ 9.509,44) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eddie Martinez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit High Flying Bird im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 15.725.000,00 (€ 1.823.808,88).
