Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by E. W. Bearman could be acquired at Christies in New York in June 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Ocean Liner auction, the work S.S. L'Atlantique changed hands for USD 1,080.00 (€ 798.82) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Other works by E. W. Bearman have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2007 by the work The S.S. Normandie at USD 1,200.00 (€ 887.57).
