Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Wreck of the Christadora by Duncan Hannah was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in New York in April 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 800 - 1,200, the actual price achieved of USD 813 (€ 548) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Duncan Hannah achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 11,250 (€ 9,131).
