Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Still Life 56.5 x 49.5 cm. (22 1/4 x 19 1/2 in.) by Duncan Grant was sold in the Modern British Art auction at Bonhams in London in November this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 32,000.00 (€ 37,081.04). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Duncan Grant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vanessa Bell in a Yellow Shawl 72.7 x 51.5 cm. (28 5/8 x 20 1/4 in.) in November last year with an auction result of GBP 327,900.00 (€ 379,961.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Still Life 56.5 x 49.5 cm. (22 1/4 x 19 1/2 in.) von Duncan Grant wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 32.000,00 (€ 37.081,04) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Duncan Grant erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vanessa Bell in a Yellow Shawl 72.7 x 51.5 cm. (28 5/8 x 20 1/4 in.) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 327.900,00 (€ 379.961,23).
