It achieved a price of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,791.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Douglas Anderson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait of Lord Tweedsmuir, reading in a study sold at auction in May 2005 with the realized price of GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,303.05).
