Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work M=Agua #23 by Douglas Abdell. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 20,160.00 (€ 23,884.16). Admittedly, works by Douglas Abdell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work EVILLE in March last year with an auction result of USD 107,100.00 (€ 96,547.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit M=Agua #23 von Douglas Abdell zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 20.160,00 (€ 23.884,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Douglas Abdell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit EVILLE im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 107.100,00 (€ 96.547,37).
