This artwork by Dorothea Sharp achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in March this year. In the 19th Century and British Impressionist Art auction, the work Playmates sold for GBP 63,300.00 (€ 72,015.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Dorothea Sharp; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot In The Orchard, Picking Plums sold at auction in July 2007 with the realized price of GBP 84,000.00 (€ 124,759.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dorothea Sharp erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art wurde die Arbeit Playmates für GBP 63.300,00 (€ 72.015,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Dorothea Sharp; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit In The Orchard, Picking Plums im Juli 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 84.000,00 (€ 124.759,39).
