Auction result well in line with expectations
The work White Angel Bread Line, San Francisco, 1933 by Dorothea Lange was sold in the Photographs: The Evening Sale auction at Christies in New York in October 2016. The price achieved of USD 106,250.00 (€ 96,925.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dorothea Lange - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Migrant Mother, 1936, which sold at auction in February 2016 for USD 389,000.00 (€ 357,931.54).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 106.250,00 (€ 96.925,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden.
