Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours, which included the work Notre Dame, Paris, at night by Donald Wood. The price achieved of GBP 312.00 (€ 457.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Admittedly, works by Donald Wood have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The little yacht in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 2,220.00 (€ 3,277.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Notre Dame, Paris, at night von Donald Wood zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 312,00 (€ 457,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 400,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Donald Wood auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The little yacht im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.220,00 (€ 3.277,42).
