Auction result well in line with expectations
In August this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Frio by Donal Hord. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,480.00 (€ 4,133.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Donal Hord have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Summer Rain in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,985.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Frio von Donal Hord zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.480,00 (€ 4.133,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Donal Hord auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Summer Rain im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.985,42).
