Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Don Clarke could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work The Bride changed hands for EUR 298.75 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Don Clarke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blowing bubbles in June 2004 with an auction result of EUR 1,434.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Don Clarke konnte im Juni 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS wechselte die Arbeit The Bride für EUR 298,75 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 500,00 – 700,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Don Clarke auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blowing bubbles im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.434,00.
