A top price for Dominique Kouas - as previously expected
The work Abstract composition I by Dominique Kouas was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art Online auction at Bonhams in London in December 2021. The price achieved of GBP 892.50 (€ 1,064.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Abstract composition I is the most expensive artwork by Dominique Kouas that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Abstract composition I von Dominique Kouas wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 892,50 (€ 1.064,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Abstract composition I das teuerste Kunstwerk von Dominique Kouas, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
