In February 2010 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings and Prints, which included the work Allégorie : La Loi Entourée De La Force Et De La Justice by Dominique Antoine Jean-Baptiste Magaud. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,983.00 65% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dominique Antoine Jean-Baptiste Magaud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jérémie Reprochant Aux Juifs Leurs Dérèglements in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 31,200.00.

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.983,00 und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
