In February this year Bonhams held the auction Modern & Contemporary Cuban Art, which included the work Desnudo by Domingo Ravenet. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,848.33), 36% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Domingo Ravenet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Desnudo in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 51,400.00 (€ 34,994.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Cuban Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Desnudo von Domingo Ravenet zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 3.848,33) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Domingo Ravenet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Desnudo im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 51.400,00 (€ 34.994,55).
