This artwork by Domenicus van Wijnen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2011. In the Old Masters and 19th Century Art auction, the work Phineus interrupting the wedding of Perseus and Andromeda sold for EUR 29,800.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Domenicus van Wijnen; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Witches' Sabbath By Moonlight sold at auction in July 2016 with the realized price of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 44,558.11).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Domenicus van Wijnen erzielte im November 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art wurde die Arbeit Phineus interrupting the wedding of Perseus and Andromeda für EUR 29.800,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Domenicus van Wijnen; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Witches' Sabbath By Moonlight im Juli 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 44.558,11).
