The work The Drawing Lesson by Domenico Guidobono was sold in the Master Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 81,250.00 (€ 72,968.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Drawing Lesson is the most expensive artwork by Domenico Guidobono that we have observed at auctions so far.
