Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Count Johan Otto Wrangel af Sauss (1777-1847), facing left in blue uniform with gold-figured yellow collar, pleated white lace jabot and black stock, light brown curly hair, wearing the badge of the Royal Swedish Campaign medal by Domenico Bossi was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2002, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - Admittedly, works by Domenico Bossi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Duke Adam of Württemberg (1792-1847), In Red Coat With Gold-Embroidered Red Facings, Gold Tassels And Buttons, Fur Collar And Dark Cravat, Wearing The Breast-Star of The Royal Württemberg Order of The Golden Eagle in July 2005 with an auction result of GBP 19,200.00 (€ 27,849.42).

In Red Coat With Gold-Embroidered Red Facings, Gold Tassels And Buttons, Fur Collar And Dark Cravat, Wearing The Breast-Star of The Royal Württemberg Order of The Gol
