The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 800.00 but the actual price achieved was more However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Domenico Bossi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Duke Adam of Württemberg (1792-1847), In Red Coat With Gold-Embroidered Red Facings, Gold Tassels And Buttons, Fur Collar And Dark Cravat, Wearing The Breast-Star of The Royal Württemberg Order of The Golden Eagle, which sold at auction in July 2005 for GBP 19,200.00 (€ 27,849.42).
