In the At Home-British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper auction, the work The Temple of Venere a Boya, Italy sold for GBP 881.25 (€ 1,265.05) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Domenico Ammirato; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Five Scenes Of Naples sold at auction in January 2014 with the realized price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,284.72).
