Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Dolf Breetvelt was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2004. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,912.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dolf Breetvelt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition, which sold at auction in March 2011 for EUR 6,875.00.

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Dolf Breetvelt wurde im Juni 2004 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.912,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dolf Breetvelt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition beobachtet, die im März 2011 für EUR 6.875,00 versteigert wurde.
