Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings Part I And Part II, which included the work Still Life of Dead Game With Birds by Dirk Valkenburg. The price achieved of USD 73,000.00 (€ 46,891.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dirk Valkenburg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Eurasian eagle-owl with other birds in a landscape in January 2021 with an auction result of USD 264,600.00 (€ 218,046.97).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 73.000,00 (€ 46.891,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden.
