Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Dirk van Lokhorst could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work Cows by a wood; goats in a dunelandscape changed hands for EUR 358.50 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dirk van Lokhorst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shepherd With Sheep And Cattle Near A Watering Hole in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,219.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dirk van Lokhorst konnte im Juli 2003 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS wechselte die Arbeit Cows by a wood; goats in a dunelandscape für EUR 358,50 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dirk van Lokhorst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shepherd With Sheep And Cattle Near A Watering Hole im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.219,04).
