The work The Triumph of Patience: Four Works after Maerten van Heemskerck (Holl. 152, 154, 156, 157; New Holl. 437, 439, 441, 442) by Dirck Volkertsz Coornheert was sold in the Old Master Prints auction at Sothebys in London in July 2021. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,008.00 (€ 1,182.09), 26% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dirck Volkertsz Coornheert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 8 Bll.: Circulus vicissitudes rorum humanorum (Unbeständigkeit der menschlichen Dinge), which sold at auction in April 2012 for EUR 2,500.00.

Die Arbeit The Triumph of Patience: Four Works after Maerten van Heemskerck (Holl. 152, 154, 156, 157; New Holl. 437, 439, 441, 442) von Dirck Volkertsz Coornheert wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Old Master Prints bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.008,00 (€ 1.182,09) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Dirck Volkertsz Coornheert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 8 Bll.: Circulus vicissitudes rorum humanorum (Unbeständigkeit der menschlichen Dinge) beobachtet, die im April 2012 für EUR 2.500,00 versteigert wurde.
