The work An architectural capriccio with figures promenading and boys arguing over a game of skittles by Dirck van Delen was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2017. The auction ended at the price of USD 300,000.00 (€ 257,554.95), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dirck van Delen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An architectural capriccio with Jephthah and his daughter, which sold at auction in April 2017 for USD 667,500.00 (€ 612,666.36).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit An architectural capriccio with figures promenading and boys arguing over a game of skittles von Dirck van Delen kam im Oktober 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 300.000,00 (€ 257.554,95) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dirck van Delen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An architectural capriccio with Jephthah and his daughter beobachtet, die im April 2017 für USD 667.500,00 (€ 612.666,36) versteigert wurde.
