In January 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings & Sculpture, which included the work A Church Interior With A Royal Tomb, Probably That Of The German Emperor Rudolf Ii by Dirck van Delen. The »bidding war« ended at USD 50,000.00 (€ 36,456.43), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dirck van Delen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An architectural capriccio with Jephthah and his daughter in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 667,500.00 (€ 612,666.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Church Interior With A Royal Tomb, Probably That Of The German Emperor Rudolf Ii von Dirck van Delen zur Versteigerung kam.
