Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2006 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Dimitris Geros for GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,503.22). This price was achieved in the auction The Greek Sale at Sothebys in Olympia and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dimitris Geros - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Steamship, which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,561.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2006 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Dimitris Geros für GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.503,22) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in Olympia erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dimitris Geros mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Steamship beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.561,44) versteigert wurde.
