A top price for Dimitrios Zographos - as previously expected
The work Boats by Dimitrios Zographos was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Sothebys in Olympia in May 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,488.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Boats is the most expensive artwork by Dimitrios Zographos that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Boats von Dimitrios Zographos wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.488,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Boats das teuerste Kunstwerk von Dimitrios Zographos, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
