Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Function Finding Its Form by Diana Copperwhite. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,799.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Diana Copperwhite - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Radio Waves, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 13,100.00 (€ 18,812.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Function Finding Its Form von Diana Copperwhite zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.799,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Diana Copperwhite mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Radio Waves beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 13.100,00 (€ 18.812,46) versteigert wurde.
