Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek The Thinker by Diamantis Diamandopoulos. The price achieved of GBP 72,500.00 (€ 92,427.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Diamantis Diamandopoulos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Seated Greek Sergeant, which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 276,500.00 (€ 352,498.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek The Thinker von Diamantis Diamandopoulos zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 72.500,00 (€ 92.427,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Diamantis Diamandopoulos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Seated Greek Sergeant beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 276.500,00 (€ 352.498,43) versteigert wurde.
