In December 2015 Christies in Mumbai held the auction The India Sale, which included the work Neighbourhood Shop by Dhirendra Krishna Deb Barman. The »bidding war« ended at INR 400,000.00 (€ 5,562.21), 60% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Dhirendra Krishna Deb Barman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot To The Market sold at auction in December 2015 with the realized price of INR 500,000.00 (€ 6,952.76).

Im Dezember 2015 führte Christies in Mumbai die Auktion The India Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Neighbourhood Shop von Dhirendra Krishna Deb Barman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von INR 400.000,00 (€ 5.562,21) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Dhirendra Krishna Deb Barman; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit To The Market im Dezember 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von INR 500.000,00 (€ 6.952,76).
