Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction European Paintings, which included the work Hungarian still Life With Bottle And Fruit by Dezsö Czigány. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 43,250.00 (€ 50,489.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Dezsö Czigány have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2012 the work Hungarian a Rubber Plant On A Window Ledge was auctioned for GBP 51,650.00 (€ 63,627.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hungarian still Life With Bottle And Fruit von Dezsö Czigány zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 43.250,00 (€ 50.489,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Dezsö Czigány konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2012 die Arbeit Hungarian a Rubber Plant On A Window Ledge für GBP 51.650,00 (€ 63.627,56) versteigert.
