Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Modern Native American ArtFeaturing the Wendy and Les Fisher Collection of Canadian Inuit Sculpture, which included the work A Dennis Numkena Painting by Dennis Numkena. The price achieved of USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,620.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dennis Numkena - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Mozart'S Magic Flute," 1982, which sold at auction in December 2020 for USD 5,737.50 (€ 4,691.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Modern Native American ArtFeaturing the Wendy and Les Fisher Collection of Canadian Inuit Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Dennis Numkena Painting von Dennis Numkena zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.620,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dennis Numkena mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Mozart'S Magic Flute," 1982 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für USD 5.737,50 (€ 4.691,33) versteigert wurde.
