Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Dennis Hawkins could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER auction, the work A Child'S Dream changed hands for GBP 48.00 (€ 69.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 100.00 – 150.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dennis Hawkins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orient Yellow and Violet in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 956.00 (€ 1,373.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dennis Hawkins konnte im März 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER wechselte die Arbeit A Child'S Dream für GBP 48,00 (€ 69,91) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 100,00 – 150,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dennis Hawkins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orient Yellow and Violet im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 956,00 (€ 1.373,82).
