Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work View of the Black Eagle Brewery, Brick Lane, Whitechapel, London by Dean Wolstenholme, Jun. for GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,243.75). This price was achieved in the auction Sporting Art and Dogs at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Dean Wolstenholme, Jun. have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Meet of the Essex Harriers in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,818.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit View of the Black Eagle Brewery, Brick Lane, Whitechapel, London von Dean Wolstenholme, Jun. für GBP 1.410,00 (€ 2.243,75) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dean Wolstenholme, Jun. auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Meet of the Essex Harriers im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.818,83).
