In March 2003 Christies in London held the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART, which included the work Palace Theatre, Cambridge Circus, London by David Thomas. The price achieved of GBP 940.00 (€ 1,361.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Other works by David Thomas have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2003 the work Delamere Terrace, Little Venice, London was auctioned for GBP 1,880.00 (€ 2,662.77).
