Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by David Shepherd achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in July last year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Threatening Bull sold for GBP 2,422.50 (€ 2,892.90) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Shepherd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work After the Rains - Evening in the Luangwa Valley, Zambia in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 115,250.00 (€ 142,135.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Shepherd erzielte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Threatening Bull für GBP 2.422,50 (€ 2.892,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Shepherd erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit After the Rains - Evening in the Luangwa Valley, Zambia im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 115.250,00 (€ 142.135,26).
