Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Evening of the Elephant by David Shepherd was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 17,850.00 (€ 21,316.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Shepherd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work After the Rains - Evening in the Luangwa Valley, Zambia in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 115,250.00 (€ 142,135.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Evening of the Elephant von David Shepherd kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.850,00 (€ 21.316,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Shepherd auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit After the Rains - Evening in the Luangwa Valley, Zambia im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 115.250,00 (€ 142.135,26).
