Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Shadows Of The Desert Sand by David John Voigt was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in November 2004, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of AUD 50.00 – 100.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for AUD 47.80 (€ 27.84). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David John Voigt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reflecting At The Desert Dawn, which sold at auction in November 2004 for AUD 119.50 (€ 69.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Shadows Of The Desert Sand von David John Voigt im November 2004 bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 50,00 – 100,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für AUD 47,80 (€ 27,84) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von David John Voigt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Reflecting At The Desert Dawn beobachtet, die im November 2004 für AUD 119,50 (€ 69,61) versteigert wurde.
