Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by David Jan Curtis; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sand dunes and sea, Arisaig, Scotland sold at auction in August 2003 with the realized price of GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,373.98).
